It's probably your brakes.

I had a 1998 Plymouth Breeze a few years ago, and when my brakes went that's what happened.

Get rid of that car as soon as you can; once my brakes went, my A/C went. Then the I was driving and for no reason the horn justs kept going off... I was so embarassed and I had to drive 15 minutes like that to the mechanic, and I ended up having to get the entire steering column replaced. After that broke, my oil started leaking uncontrollably and I had to fix all that. Finally, the top of the engine blew and I had to get rid of the car.

worn or loose skill steerage belt. examine belts rigidity Low skill steerage fluid supplies you extra of a moaning noise once you turn and a loose belt supplies you a squeling noise.

If you give it gas while turning and it changes the pitch, then it's the power steering pump belt.

if you greased it and it stopped for a while, then it gave you a clue that its probably a ball joint.
