Barrack Obama is so well above anything thing Robert Byrd could express. It is amazing how threaten a person can be; or insecure by another's race, religion, or even political ideology. Yes indeed Robert Byrd meant what he stated.

No. And why do people insist on using a persons middle name as an attempt to slur them. Can we assume that George WALKER Bush is somehow related to John Anthony Walker, too?

Amazingly enough, I can not find any reference to Robert Byrd even saying that on Fox News. The only reference to the "n" word being used was in an interview with Reverend Al Sharpton who said Byrd used that word multiple times three or four years ago before Obama praised him in a MoveOn.org e-mail. Not surprising is the lack of evidence given by the person who wrote the EDITORIAL, as it seems to have no basis in fact.

I, personally, have heard that term used to describe white boys trying to act black, not the other way around.

No. He meant it as a derogatory term, like white trash. He said this in an interview with Tony Snow. The guy was a KKK leader!
