Marriage a sacred oath that should never be broken.
It should be cherished like a little icicle baby on top of a mountain.
The goat herders treat their stock with such pride.. why not you? its only natural to want to stray from the pack. You need commitment to form an everlasting bond like elmers glue.
Taking for granted the promise made is like taking a giant dump but then all of a sudden retracts back in. It sucks.
You need to be willing to take that stroll 70-80 years down and look back and say "whoa nelly that was coarse." but sit down for pie when the time comes.
The car doesn't settle right when treated like a hump backs camel in the oasis of the mind. Only the sluggish are given thought but not too much!
So like this answer.. marriage is unpredictable and needs thorough analyzation to determine if it is even worth giving notice to.

Should I ever get married, it will only be once. I don't do relationships lightly. It will be for real. But at this time in my life, I don't see myself getting married.
Marriage seems to be taken too lightly these days. The divorce rate increases every year. Fewer and fewer couples are staying together. Even couples who have been together for years are splitting. People cheat and lie and take things for granted. Marriage is more like a business decision than a formal committment now. That's wrong in my mind.

Marriage has its good times along with the bad. It's just like any other relationship you are in. It takes a lot of work and commitment to each other. It's a 50-50 kind of deal. Help each other love each other, respect each other. Be friends, not just lovers. Listen to each other, be considerate of each other. If you are with someone you love and respect right now, than the only thing that will change is her last name. I wish you the best of luck with your decision. By the way, cold feet or 2nd thoughts are normal. :)

My thoughts on marriage have changed in my years. I grew up thinking Prince Charming would swoop me up and we'd live happily ever after. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN!!
Marriage is basically a way for children to have a father, in our culture anyway. My children have a father, rat that he is, and I have a boyfriend, (if he turns out to be a rat he'll be relegated to the same place as my ex and I'll find another, or not, it doesn't matter, I am not lonely.)
Good luck.
Peace.

Marriage is a commitment and an understanding, 'takes two to tango'
Most marriages burn out after seven years, from there on it is a relationship like one would have with a brother or sister.

I think it is wonderful for the most part. There are some moments where you absolutely cannot stand to be in the same room with your spouse, but this passes. It takes work on BOTH sides, but a commitment is a commitment. An oath. A promise. A promise before not only your family, but before GOD!

I think it's great,,,too bad i'm not married anymore. lol It takes alot of work, ( commitment, compromise, sacrifice, honesty, trust, forgiveness, and lots of respect ) all those fun things. And it should be fun!! I just don't think people take it seriously anymore, and it's really a shame. Seems like there too many takers and not enough givers. And with all that said,,,,I'd still do again if I get the chance.
