Actually I believe you are correct. She's a wonderfully strong woman, determined, intelligent and quite ballsy in her own unique way......I would dare say she's a gay icon as well.

Not saying she isn't but why would a woman who is married and sleeping with two human men and seems to be hot for a male robot be a lesbian icon?

I dunno. I think Susan Ivonova from Babylon Five would be a better sci-fi icon...I mean, she actually copped to being in love with a woman. Also Dax from Star Trek Deep Space Nine, first lesbian kiss on primetime TV.
