we are having casual day at work tomorrow thru friday. I can't wear flip flops & I don't want to wear my pumps. I want to buy a pair of sandals but not flat ones..which ones should I get? what do you wear for shoes on casual day at work? I work in an office as a receptionist.

The shoes you wear depend on the pants or skirt you're going to wear that day. I'd stay away from anything that looks like a rubber flipflop: those are never acceptable, even on casual day. Wedges, espadrilles and cork-soled sandals can look nice with khakis or a casual skirt.

Well if it is casual I would wear maybe a nice pair of Khaki pants, maybe a white button up shirtwith a layered white tank top underneath, you can go with a different color tank top, then maybe some brown slip on sandals, kind of like a mule type shoe but with open toe.

I wear all black Converse Chuck Taylors... sneakers, yes, but they fit the black shoe rule...

but if you're talking pretty shoes... I usually hit up DSW for nice shoes.... My favorite style which is perfect for places that don't like the open toe thing (but you can still wear them barefoot if you sprinkle a little foot powder in there) Are ones with short heels, an ankle strap, but a covered toe...

You can wear mules too (the covered toe with no ankle strap and a heel) but they're too "evening". Short heels are more casual, try to go for that... If you have a DSW near you, go walk through there if you haven't already (Or a Shoe Pavilion which is kind of like DSW but not as wonderful)...

As a receptionist you are still the first face they see. I usually wear dressy top and shoes with a nice pair regular fitting jeans.

It depends on what you are going to wear but I would just get some kitten heeled sandals and wear a nice sun dress.

I wear jeans with a dressy top and heeled sandals. It's dressing down, but still looking nice.

in the starting up, only enable me say thats a very beautiful gown :) and that i imagine its extraordinarily casual besides so i imagine in case you purely positioned on the three/4 length leggings and then an same pair of apartments or sandals it will make it seem extra casual.. you may also positioned on a pair bracelets with it.. yet i dont imagine you opt for to positioned on a cardigan with it..

Wedge Sandals are nice. Or if you have a nice pair of tennis.

I think what it would depend on is what you are allowed to wear to work for casual day, jeans or just more like docker pants.
