I have about an inch on one side and a half an inch at the top and bottom that are black. Can some one help?????

Use the buttons at the bottom of your monitor to fix this. Push menu on the button`s at the bottom of your screen. Select the one with arrow`s going up and down to select the height. And select the one that has the arrow`s going from side to side. To fix your view that go`s from side to side on your monitor. To select them use the -or+ button`s When you select the the button`s that you want than use the
- or+ to addjust the scren the way that you want it.

There should be size and center adjustments on the monitor itself.
If it is an LCD monitor, you probably do not have it set at the monitors native resolution. Try knocking it up one notch in resolution.

theirs buttons on ure monitor.they move the screen around so it fits properly.
