I am so blessed to be having a healthy girl so far. We found out for sure yesterday. I'm just so floored. I really have always thought I'd have boys. I'm excited but it just feels kind of strange. Don't get me wrong I know a little girl is so precious but I think I'm just in shock. I thought I would at least have a boy first. It's not that I wanted one over the other... just not what I expected.

Anyone else felt this way?

I thought for sure I was having a boy (don't know why). When I found out I was having a girl, I was sooooo happy. No disappointment, but kind of surprised. Now that she is here I can't imagine her being anyone else. There is nothing like a teeny tiny little baby girl :)
Good for you and congrats!

Actually, my first was a boy. When I found out I was pregnant with my second I wanted it so desperatly to be a little boy because I enjoyed my first one so much. When I found out it was a girl I asked the technician if she was sure. She was!! I was sorta upset and depressed a little because I felt like I wasn't the girly girl type and I could never raise a girl. It took me a couple of days to adjust to the idea. But I did and boy is she beautiful. I love her every bit as much as my boy. When I got pregnant the third time and found out it was a boy, I was very excited. But then I got to shopping for clothes and found myself staring at the girl clothes! It is so funny! My children are all such a blessing and I love them so very much! Boys and girls alike!! Congratulations and God Bless!

I really thought I would have boys and I am having a little girl. Sometimes I am scared, because I was a complete tomboy and if she is a little princess I don't know what I will do. Life is funny and everything works out for a reason, but wow she is not even here and I am already intimidated by her, lol.
I am not disappointed either, just kind of in awe.

After having my oldest (girl) I thought for sure that is all I would have so when my 2nd came around I was completely floored too when I found out that it was a HE. I was a nervous wreck...wasn't sure if I could handle a boy after knowing what to do with a GIRL.

But trust me, that all melts away when you see their sweet little faces.

I felt that way. My husband wanted a girl and I wanted a boy. Every now and then I still have dreams that she's a boy. I think as a woman we just want our little man. And hopefully one day we will have a boy.

It's normal, and you will love your little girl so much when she is born. Don't worry abou tthat. Girl or boy your first child will be a dream come true.

Heh, sex is controled almost entirely by the father (obviously on a biological level) as a sperm is either male or female.
