i am a recovered anorexic. i went into treatment last may and have been at a stable weight since. one complication of starvation is amenorrhea. i, unlike all of my friends from the hospital, haven't gotten my period back (and there is no way i am pregnant). what's up with that?!

Everyone is different. It takes time for your body to readjust. Does your docotr know you still haven't gotten it back? It would be worth exploring further. However, I think it is "normal" for it to take a while. Doctors put some girls on birth control to jump start it. Good Luck.

i had this prob before. one summer i worked out a lot and lost some weight, my period was about 3 weeks over what it was supposed to have been. i went on the internet and found out that if you lose weight or your body goes through physical changes that it can affect your cycle. hope this helps you out!!
