work backwards. If you need to be somewhere 30 minutes away, and your normal routine is 45 minutes, Start getting ready one and a half hours before. That gives you a 15 minute cushion.
Changing your clocks doesn't work, because you know they've been changed. Waking up earlier only works if you don't procrastinate once you're awake.

Set two alarm clocks 10-15 minutes apart, then get your butt up ! Do NOT hit the snooze !Then do what that other person said about working backwards in your head about time of destination, traffic , etc. If you know your always late just set earlier goals, for example , if you have to be at work at 9:00 , then pretend you have to be there at 8:30 or your FIRED ! Then start planning backwards from that time. If you are "running late " you would still be there by 9:00 . Hopefully ! Good Luck !

Its called being responsible. I have an Aunt that is similar to what you describe here except our family has figured out that if your asking her and family to come for dinner and you want to eat at 1 pm you tell her that dinner will be servered at 12 or maybe 12:30pm
You must become responsible for yourself. No one can do it for you. Don't futz around with other things focus on the task at hand
Don't turn on the TV or Radio Just Start with a plan similar to below.
1. Waking Up with or without a clock
2. Immediately roll out of bed Standing up
3. If you haven't cleaned up Jump in the shower 5 no more than 10 minutes.
4. get into your clothes.
5. eat a bite
6. head out to work
However if one has children you have to get them into this routine as they can be the greatest time waster.

I am chronically on time. Here is one thing. When I have something I have to do, for example I am in dance classes, I take a shower, put on my dance clothes, find my shoes and put them by the door about three hours before I have to leave. If I can't find something, I have plenty of time to look. Then, when it is time to leave, I just step out the door. I also keep my keys, purse and back pack by the door, that way I never have to look for things. I am an ADD person, very disorganized and lose things, so I force myself to stay organized. The evening before work, I pick out my clothes, find my shoes etc. That is what keeps me on time, getting organized way ahead of time. I used to be late to everything all the time. You just have to use some self-discipline to stay prepared. I bet if you try my system for one week, you will find yourself on time and your stress level dramatically improved. Hope this helps!

Hi! First off you must ask and answer the question "what is making you late" are you taking too long getting dressed or what. Then once you figure that out you would correct the situation and it is also a large part of responsibility and being an adult. You will find out that you being late can cause others alot of problems and in the long run cause yourself major problems such as loss of a job ect..

Darlin, you and me are very much alike. Setting my watch fast never worked for me because I always knew it was fast so I still made myself late.
The way I'm on-time is wait until the last second to arrive at my destination. For example if my appointment is at 3pm, and it takes 30 minutes to get there. At 12pm I note the time but refuse to get ready until 1pm (it takes me 1hr to get ready). However, knowing I'm pushing the time makes me get ready faster and stop the delays I give myself when I try to get ready on time (stop and play with the dog, watch tv, etc).
If that's too irrational, since you're not leaving yourself leeway for traffic, try stashing a book in your car. Only allow yourself to read the book while you wait. It'll force you to get somewhere early for the sole purpose of getting to read your book.

I believe that if a person is always late for something then they are saying they don't care enough to be there on time.
It's like saying you can just wait for me I'm more important then you and you can wait for me.
There is no consequence for being late if you were docked for every minute you were late for work or if you lost your job you would soon be on time.

There's a website (I cant remember it right now) where you can pay like $4.95 per month for a digital wake up service. You jusy type in your Phone info and they'll call you every morning with a pre-recorded message of your choice.
Look it up on Google. I think it's something like wakeupcalls.net.
