Perhaps the majority missed the "flavour" of the question....I thought it humorous and thought provoking.....for example What if God sneezed....how would you respond?.....but I digress....to die in a time machine going backwards might pull you into an elliptical fluxation, rendering you into an anamorphic being, a savant...or a republican.

TIme machines may exist, but nobody can travel too far back and here's why:
Once you start going backward in time, you can only go as far back as the moment the machine was finished being built. At that point the machine will cease operation because it is no longer functional (it hasn't been completed yet, therefor cannot function) Surprises me nobody has thought about this before. Everyone assumes that occupents of time travel devices and the devices themselves are immune from the time stream... like they're in a time-proof bubble.
Anyway, to answer your question: you stay dead.

I assume you mean "What happens if you die while going backwards in time in a time machine? "
The answer is simple: The time machine will deliver your corpse into the past

Interesting experiment. You have the time machine and are volunteering to go? Who are you taking as an observer or do you have some kind of technology that will send the data back to us? When you get all of the variables lined up, let us know. We'll make a press release.

If you die while going backwards in a time machine, then whatever time you are in, will do one of two things.
1. If you are in a time before you exist, you will erase all traces of your existance.
2. If you are in a time while you were still alive, then you will cease to exist then you will be in that exact year.
Thats what will happen.

Only your imagination can tell, since this is a metaphysical impossibility.
If you die going back in time, that means you were already dead when you entered the time machine, since you experienced death at a previous time point.

Well your past you wouldn't know you died, because you didn't make it to the past, so it would not grow up to know that it shouldn't get into the time machine, so you would die in the time machine.

You live. And the 'you' in the past would have no knowledge of you in the future. And you'd have no way of warning yourself of the circumstances surrounding your death because as my teacher put it :" memory lives not in the matter of the brain but in the energy that surrounds it." You would quite possibly be in a time loop , from you time designation in the time machine, to your death.
