Might better to ask, "How quickly does the present become the past?" There is a direct answer to this question. It lies in the physics trilogy and what the value of "c" is.

The trilogy is: E = mc2, m = E/c2, and c2 = E/m. Notice in all of these thoughts that the only value that cannot change is that of the "c2" one. Energy and mass are able to be traded about but the value of "c" remains the same. It is this value that we are totally composed of - physical time. We move from the present into the future at the speed of "c". So, not only does time fly, but so do we.

Time always "flies" or (is happening), if time involves change and moving towards the future, and wind and air cause change, maybe it does kind of fly,,,,,, technically it doesn't because time is a man-made illusion that has no appearance or sound, basically no physical matter, yet it is a proper and extremely accurate mathematical calculation to give time credit

According to relativity, if you move very fast, then time slows down for you. So 1 sec for you might be 10 sec for others and in that sense, time does fly.
