If I were going to get that "dark line of pregnancy" the linea negra, would it have appeared already?

I'm 6 months pregnant exactly and it still hasn't appeared. Also, my belly button has not popped out...does that mean I won't have either?

Doesn't sound like you will get the line, but you never know. Mine became ever so slightly darker, in fact only I noticed this, and it was by 6 months. My belly button slowly popped out and it wasn't until around the time the baby dropped or a few weeks after (32 weeks) that it completely popped out.

Well I'm 30 weeks pregnant and the dark line has only just VERY faintly started to appear on me, and as for the belly button, it pops out earlier on some women than others. Some woment it doesnt at all but I've been told its more common for it to pop later on in pregnancy as you get a lot bigger.... my belly button hasnt popped yet but has just about reached the flat stage instead of being an inney.

I am 30 weeks and I do not have the linea negra at all...my belly button hasn't popped out either (although it is starting to get flat, but not protruding)

Some women keep their innies and never get the dark line.

Just remember this every pregnancy is different. It may take your body a little longer for this line to darken and for you belly button to pop out or it may not at all, it just depends if your uterus is pressing up against ur belly button which is what causes it to pop out.

Wait till your further along and then see if it darken but there is nothing wrong if neither one of these things happen. I am 18 weeks along and my belly button has popped a lil bit but that's b/c my belly button was a partial outie and my dark line hasn't darkened and I don't have stretch marks.

Unfortunately, there is no prediction of what your pregnancy symptoms will be. No way to determine at all. I have been pregnant 3 times, I never got the line. As far as the belly button popping, it almost happened. Mine started to look as though it might with two of the pregnancies, but never actually came out.
It seems to me that if you were going to get the dark line, you might already see a faint one now.
I had a friend that got the "mother's mask", she was so embarrassed. She had such dark patches on her forehead and cheeks during and after her pregnancy. I wish you luck!!! Congratulations!!

My belly button never popped. Its really deep so it just got flat. I also never got the line. Im REALLY white so that might have something to do with it. I actually kinda got a faint line after I delivered and my belly button is kinda dark also. Not everyone gets these things. Either way its normal!

I had the line and my belly button popped by the 6th month, but my friend didn't pop and get the line until the 8th month. Every woman is different. It's really nothing to look forward to. lol
My son is now 3 months and I still have the dark line. Ewww...

If you're going to regular dr visits, why don't you just ask your dr?

I got mine linea negra @ 7 months. But I think not all women get it. I think it tends to be women with darker tones in their complexions but, I could be totally wrong. I'm olive complected. Also, My belly button has not popped out and I dont think it will as it goes in very deep. I'm 33 weeks :)

I would think that it would have already appeared. I have three kids and never got it with any of them. I also thouht I was going to be free of all stretch marks and then they literally appeared overnight in my ninth month!! Your belly button may still pop out because you have a lot more growing to do :-)Congratulations!

Nope....you still have a way to go and it can develope later in pregnancy. I only had it with my last two and have had it develope as late as 32 weeks. Your belly button "pops out" when your stomach is almost beyond stretching point so that could still happen in the future as well.
