A manager in another department came to ask me that he is looking for a person and ask me if I was interested. And I'm interested since the pay is better. But, the thing is my current boss wants me to stay in his department since he knows I have more potential then what I'm currently doing and I can support him all that he needs. What's the best way to handle this?

Does your company have a formal internal application policy (where job openings are listed and you can apply for them?)

If not, then you need to consider all of the factor involved in making a move, not just the $$. Are the hours the same? Will you have an opportunity to learn more and progress in your career? Will the boss in the new role be equally supportive? Make the decision that is best for your career future, not just the one that benefits your wallet right now.

It's most effective human nature to be terrified of difference, however I can see in which you're coming from. It additionally does not harm to get somewhat extra taste for your existence to transport. If you believe that your probabilities are top that you're going to be moved into a few variety of leadership role and with a good deserved pay connected to it then I would not care in which they despatched ME. You have make your self useful despite the fact that, which it feels like you might have performed that. I will admit that bloodless calling does suck however there are lots of types of advertising that humans disregard. I just lately learn a guide referred to as "Cold Calling Doesn't Work Anymore on this Day And Age" via Frank R. and he does advertising in a thoroughly exclusive method that truthfully paintings if established and performed the thoroughly. Look into it should you decide on. Good Luck.
