I'm 29 weeks pregnant.

Also, while I'm on the subject, I've had a VERY difficult time finding a comfortable and supportive bra during my prenancy. They are either digging into my rib cage, riding up my back, causing my breasts to itch, or something! Any advice?

Yor size will go down after you stop nursing. I didn't nurse and mine went down quickly but only a size. Your boobs will NEVER be the same again. ALL of my friends with kids all have after baby boobs. My one girlfriend was an A cup before, D cup during , and now she has flat flappy empty sacks. she is thinkg of getting implants to fill in the flappies. I don't mean to scare you but hopefully it wont be that bad for you. I sag but they are still somewhat attractive.

Well, they have to fill with milk and then will eventually shrink again when you're done nursing. Also, the baby is shoving all you organs up into your rib cage, I'm not sure if this will affect your band size temporarily. The only comfy bra I can find is from Victoria's secret (Ipex) and even though it's wicked expensive it was totally worth it. For itching, I use the cocoa butter lotion which helps a bit and is safe during pregnancy. I imagine I'll get some nursing bras as the time gets closer. Too bad VS doesn't have a maternity section!

OHHHHHHH yesssssssss. Your boobs WILL change. Mine have already gone up to double D's (I'm 30 weeks).

I finally broke down and went to get some new bras. Buy ones with thick, wide straps. They are much more supportive than the skinny little straps. Also, forget sexy....go straight for the old lady section! I bypassed the cute bras in the fun colors and went to the bras that looked like parachutes (in your choice of white or beige...lol...) They are huge but the second I put them on in the dressing room I breathed a sigh of relief....they felt SO GOOD. I got a couple Playtex and Bali brand bras...they seem to feel the best). Also, don't get any lacy designs, they can be more irritating...go for soft material. The plainer, the better. Be sure to get the correct size (the numerical size in front of the A,B,C,D cup size) so that it fits right around your rib cage. My cup size went up, but unknowingly so do the number..I went up to a 38 (sometimes 40) and it made a BIG difference wearing the correct size.

Good luck!

I have always worn Victoria's Secret bras, even during pregnancy. They are the most comfortable bras around. Of course, during nursing they were not convenient so I bought bras from the Motherhood Maternity store, but Vic Sec is the best. Your breast size will most likely change after the baby arrives, especially if you nurse. Even if you don't, during pregnancy your breasts grow to prepare for nursing the baby, so expect change either way.

By the way, if you do nurse, expect MAJOR changes. After you dry up, they are going to shrink!

Your bra size changing will depend on your body. Mine went up when I was pregnant and DID NOT go back down after. With BOTH of my children!!! By the time I had quit breast feeding my youngest, I was a DDD!!! Now my sister-in-law is smaller than she was before both of her children. So your size is simply going to be determined by your body. As far as bra's are concerned, Motherhood maternity store is going to be one of your best bets. Even when I had gotten as large as I had, they still had a nursing bra that fit and worked wonderful. Like someone said earlier, unless you are one of those that doesn't change much, but doesn't appear that you are, skip the sexy ones for now.

You should expect to go up at least one cup size if not two after you have the baby.

Go to a bra shop and get professionally fitted for a bra. The problems you're describing make it sound like your are buying bras that don't fit.
