You can go to the SS department and fill out a form for a replacement it does not cost anything and they mail it to you ;o)

Driver's license, Social Security Card, Military records, medical records, retired ID card, Birth Certificate, DNA, my dog tags, fingerprints, and my mama says I'm me.

There's a list somewhere online... Maybe your passport, birth certificate, driver's license, marriage license, voter's registration... Not sure. But I know you can verify it with some of those. If this isn't the first time you lost it, what did you do last time?

A passport seems to be the next-strongest form of ID, followed by driver's liscence.

When I lost my ssn card, I needed to provide my mother's maiden name and my birth certificate.

any picture id, birth certificate, or you can get another ss card reissued but it takes forever. if you have a military id, maybe even a w-2.

You should scan and save all of your important documents unto one of those USB port thingees. Then you can download it anywhere you go to prove your identity.
