I just started watching the series on DVD and I hate the fact that I know it's cancelled. Did anyone watch the first run? How disappointed were you? How could this excellent show get cancelled so quickly?

Yea that would be me, Ive watched Freaks and Geeks since the first show aired back in 1998 I was a freshman in high school at the time, I was a geek until 12th grade, where I became a freak (think nick andoplis)I saw all 13 epps until they cancelled it mid way, it was hell for a while until it got picked up by fox family where they aired all the unaired epps, Even better was when I met a lot of the cast in Hollywood at the DVD release signing,

I loved that show! Especially because I turned 16 in 1980 and the show was very close to how it was back then. Smoking areas in high schools, clueless parents who lived in their own little world. And I was the kid that made good grades (like Lindsey) but wanted to be included with the freaks too, you know, smoking pot, drinking beer, cigarettes. And, just like Lindseys, my parents never understood either and always were freaking out!

Yes. I loved that show. Now James Franco is a movie star and that tall guy is on How I meet your mother. Love them
