I am wanting to start a greeting card co. and was wondering about copyrights to protect the wordage?

I don't think you can protect the wording in a greeting card, only the artwork.
If it is an original quote, you can put who the quote was from next to it.

As it goes, I have seen many greeting cards with the same greetings, just different pictures.
