My grandfather played for them and I want to find more information but he passed away so I need to research it.

I don't know of any publications that list the farm team players from that era, but there are two souces you might try:

- Here's a link to the Cardinals business page. It has some contact information for the team. If you contact the team, they might be able to help you to get the info you're looking for.

- There is a magazine called Baseball America based in Durham, NC. It is a magazine dedicated to minor league baseball. They haven't been around since the 40's, but they might be able to help direct you to specific resources. Here is their contact information:

The link below lists, by year, all the teams that were Cardinals minor league affiliates. It doesn't list players, but it might be a start.
