The Rocky Mountains, often called the Rockies, are a broad mountain range in western North America. The Rocky Mountains stretch more than 4,800 kilometers (3,000 miles) from northernmost British Columbia, in Canada, to New Mexico, in the United States. The highest peak is Mount Elbert, in Colorado.

I'm not sure I understand your question, But I live in Colorado and the Rocky Mountains run through Colorado up into Wyoming how far they run I really don't know.

If you asking what state they are in they are in many. The Rockies stretch from Alaska though Canada and taper off heading towards Mexico.

the rockies cover more then one state. check the mid-west of the us to the west you see it. It is very hard to miss.
