My wipers work fine, it's just that when I turn them off, they won't go down. any idea what this might be?

What kind of vehicle do you have? Most likely you have a fault in the park circuit of the wiper system, and this is most likely from the wiper module if it's a GM, or possibly the windshield wiper switch. These are just the most likely possibilities, but I cannot say that they will solve the problem.

if its a newer gm vehicle most likely the parking tab on the wiper transmission assembly has gotten bent out, if the wiper motors under the cowl youll have to remove the wipers and cowl, than bend the tab at the base of the assembly in slightly, than run your wipers, shut them off and see if the stop latch is catching the tab, it might takes a couple of tries

hi, if no one worked on your car lately and do a practical joke on you, and the wipers just started to act up, then its the motor/motor module needs to be replaced. its failing to park...due to worn internal parts. :)

Possibly a blown fuse?
