Brand new maple Easton Fungo MLF-3 Tape or no Tape on barrel? Yes? No? Why?

it "deadens" the ball off the bat a little, but for a fungo, it shouldn't make any difference, you're probably just going to hit soft toss flies and grounders with it anyway, and yeah, it does make it last longer--keeps it from splintering and cracking, especially if it gets wet then freezes (spring weather is a b**** sometimes).

yes it keeps the bat from braking longer in other words it will last longer
