Why do such good women fall in love with A**Holes, then stay with them?

I don't think you can pin it all on one reason. It varies from person to person but IMO, it usually is because of one of the following:

1. The man hid his bad side well and his less than desirable traits didn't come out until later.

2. Some people take their wedding vows extremely seriously and don't want to give up so easily, hoping to work things through.

3. Some women think that despite the man being a real turd, they think that if they just love him enough, and are perfect to him and work with him and reason with him, they can change him into the type of man they want. This is incredibly naive but I see it all the time. IMO, this is the #1 reason good women stay with men that are no good.

While that list is not all encompassing, IMO, it covers most of the situations where the woman stays with a man that is no good.

Because some of us grew up with A**Holes, and were therefore conditioned to accept this behavior somewhere deep in our being, even though we don't really want to. We get in it, recognize it, but by then we love the person so much we really don't know how to stop, and we keep hoping they'll change, and they don't, so many of us stay and suffer, until we finally one day realize we do NOT have to accept the behavior and ARE worth more than that, and we move on. For some of us, it's early on, but for some of us, it's not until we get KO'd enough times to kill Apollo 14 different episodes. It's a messed up way to live, but it happens all the time.

Oh we dont hate nice guys lol but alot of girls do find the bad boys more attractive maybe its their confidence im not sure exactly what it is. we date as* Holes cause they attract us but we all deep down want to settle down with a nice guy :) well atleast i do anyway.I try not to date the as* holes personally i am with a really nice guy at the moment and pleased to say it. so we are not all like that but sadly some woman are attracted to that sort of guy :( Hope this makes sense.

Because they are not a**holes in the beginning of the relationship, they turn into a**holes when they figure you are in love with them. Believe me you will only stick around until you find yourself. Remember you can't change an a**hole but you can change yourself.

I think in a lot of ways women think they can change a man or control a man into being a better man. It never works and the good women end up with being doormats for the rest of their lives.

most of them stay because of the situations they are in (children, no money, no job, no family etc). Some of them have no self exteem and they only identify themselves with the loosers. Others are forced because they are scared of the A ss holes they put themselves with.

I agree with the guys - many girls want to mold a guy into someone new...or save them from their bad habits. We all need to learn that you cant save a person from themself - they have to want to change.

Plus - some girls really like the "badboy" image - ya know? They get stuck with an asshole guy, but get stuck in some sort of comfort zone with them and dont want to leave. Its stupid, but it happens
