Introduce herself, shake hands, learn names. Then play the rest of the meeting by ear. If the client is new to the company, give them a little background on what the company is about and what the client should expect as results from the company. Then ask and answer questions. If an answer is not known, write it down and say that you will get back to them at the earliest possible time. Be sincere in all your questions and answers.

always have a smile when first meeting someone, eye contact half the time too.

I thing that is irritating during a first meet is when you have to repeat yourself or the other person has to do the same so be well-spoken and with a clear voice.
