Indeed it would. That is almost a record number of thumbs up too! Sorry for the bad deal there... Maybe the person accidentally clicked the best answer. I did that once.. I was so mad at myself!

Yes! Very true. I hate that. Sometimes I even can't believe the answer I gave cuz it's so dang good, ya know. So I get all excited thinking I'll win 4 sure,...and nothing..so sad. Also, I hate it when u find a question and no one has answered it yet, so u hurry up and answer it so you could be the first box there,(i wanna be the first box, haven't yet), and then when u hit submit and it takes u back, you're like the 30th answerer.....go figure! It bites....

Destiny it certainly does or if they use your name to bring you down.
I had that happen. I studied English as a minor and was as a question on hittler and the thrid reif. In hsi book he stated Napolen and Alexander the great, and some jerk said i was pulling it out of thin air. And no way it was a best seller. Well in germany it was a best selling book and still is for history and what he modeled his 'reif' from in his book mein kumph. It was correct but some guy went out of his way to say my name and degrade me. It bothered me since (which you can't tell from my typing here) was a minor for me in college. It was something I had been part of and a great intrust for me and some guy slams me uses my name which is my real name< and degrades me and he got the thumbs up.
So in a way i know how you feel i get frustrated.
When I ask silly questions i want silly answers not serious or people going 'yay 2 pt for me'. when i have a serious one like from today i want a serious anwser, you can tell by the question itself.

I do agree that some ppl just give Best Answers to their friends, but they also give them to answers that they simply agree with because it's on their level of thinking. I try to check the question, and it's wording carefully. If the person has a lot of flaws (or something just plain stupid) within the context of the question I might not even bother answering it.

I agree. That really sucks. I have been robbed of so many best answers, it isn't funny. I once had a question that I had 10 thumbs up, and I didn't get it. That has happened to me many times. I hear you. I can relate.

Oh yeah. Especially when you give a long well thought out answer and put a lot of thought and kindness into it and they pick the person who cared the least.

Totally bites. It's very frustrating. Or if it's a question that has a right or wrong answer and they give best answer to someone that's clearly wrong.

it depends, sometimes the asker is looking for a certain type of response, some of us in here are a little twisted and if you recognize your own style of humor you tend to reward it.
