When ask that simply, the answer must be the egg. Dinosaurs came from eggs right? And chickens came around much later.

It all depends on when the animal was given the name. Was there an egg that gave birth to what we now call a "chicken." Or was their an animal that gave birth to an egg that we now call "a chicken egg."

If you look at it from an evolution standpoint, it has to be the egg. What we now call a chicken had to be born first. It's parents didn't necessarily have to have all the features of a modern-day chicken.

Technically, the dinosaurs were reptilian, laying eggs. So the Egg came first.

Use your head. Think about it. Some Dinosaurs laid eggs. Chickens don't go back that far.

The Bible says that God created the birds and then said "multiply in number". So the chicken had to be there before it could multiply.
