He seems confused now, since what ever he does they say he is not good, especially Simon.
Has it to do with when someone is a little timid, the bully will come and kick them. Be careful, the quiet dog who sleeps on the front porch, will eventually get tired of the kicking and move. In this case, the publics reaction to such bullying could propel Sanjaya ahead. I think if he were more assured he would make a much better presentation, he can sing. Remember his audition, it was good.

He's a nice young man with good hair, but he's not a great singer. They are trying to find the best and he's not even close in talent to some of the others. But, in all fairness, they selected him for the top 24, so if they are not happy with him it's their fault. I wouldn't worry too much about Sanjaya and the "bullying". He's getting TV exposure and a lot of publicity out of this. He has a big pre-teen fan base - which I'm sure he's enjoying. And I'll bet American Idol is glad he's there because people are watching the show to see if he's still there!! He's good for ratings.

It's not that the judges do not like him. And yes he did have a great audition but since he has been competing - he really has not shined. There are much more talented singers on that show.
The problem with A.I is that is more of a looks, popularity contest instead of a singing competition. It also has to do with the number of votes - which I think should be limited to propel the better singers forward.
I like Sanjaya but on a whole - he's a cutie and all the little girls and probably some little boys are feeling him and that is why he gets votes. It also may have to do with that website - vote for the worst.com

The judges don't dislike him. Simply, Sanjaya cannot sing nearly as well as the rest of the contestants. His singing is not that good.
This is a contest, not a popularity race.
Sanjaya has everything that the other good singers lack, looks and moves (AND THAT HAIR!!!!). I like the kid. But he needs more practice and talent. He's still young and has plenty of time to improve.
I think his sister should be up there, on stage.
I hope that the American Idol experience will give him exposure to further his career.

He has the worst voice of all the idol contestants. Last night, his best performance, could be outdone by amateurs at karyoke. He has finally learned the basics of pitch, and for the first time put some wind behind his voice. All he had for the past several weeks was his looks and his youth.
He could get better as he gains confidence, but there is no way he'll be a better singer than half the other contestants. He should be singing backup for a boy-band.

Sanjaya is by far the least talented and I question why he even made it to the top 24. I think the judges are kicking themselves now. Each week I have been waiting for him to get voted off and each week I have been dissapointed.
My fear now is that he will start doing ok and not get voted off. I think last night he actually did pretty good (which is hard for me to say) and now I am afraid he will be safe.

Because he stinks at singing! Even though Brandon got voted off last week I think Sanjaya should have gone.. His performance was horrible.. he looked like someone singing at a karoake party or something.. His dancing was horrible and his overall appearance sucks!

You know what?? Thank you for saying that because I completely agree with you!! If Sanjaya wasn't so nervous, I think he would be alot better. Same with Antonella. Its hard to hear people talking so bad about you, especially if its on the news!! That sucks. I just wish they both would have improved, but I commend them both for hanging in there despite what people say. People don't seem to understand that its NOT helping him if they keep talking bad about him.

He isn't the best singer, and there have been alot of singers who was sent home that sings alot better than him and I guess that they feel that it isn't right. I do have to agree he is an o.k. singer and there is alot of professional o.k. singers making lots of money so he will most certainly get a deal with some one but he's just not the typical American Idol. And my opinion is that he should have left along time ago.

Because he can't sing, that's why! It is supposed to be a singing competition, isn't it??
Frankly, I hope he wins, because I don't like American Idol, the whole premise is idiotic, and the same country that would put George Bush in the White House TWICE would vote for anybody. Personally, I plan to vote for this guy, and I hope everyone else will, too, to show that the whole thing is bogus.

i would say that all this publicity and attention IS doing him some good. he still can't sing, though. well, ok, he can sing, but he's certainly not the strongest personality OR singer on the show. he's actually the weak link on there, and compared to the other singers, the weakest one. it's like on other seasons--ya wonder why a certain person is still there week after week.
