4 months
Ask your doctor to be sure about your baby. Usually it is when they're 4 months.

I personally started putting rice cereal into my babies bottles at 3 months old. I actualy started feeding my oldest (now 6 months) oatmeal when she was 3 1/2 months old. She was more than ready. However my youngest (3 months) will not be ready at that point. It is up to them. Are they watching you while you eat, looking back and forth while the spoon goes from your plate to your mouth? Are they able to sit up in a high chair? Do they have a good gag reflex? All things that should be considered before feeding cereal. And of course, if the bottles are not keeping them satisfied for very long, it is time to move up to something else!

It depends on the child mine were actually 6 mos. Many 4 month olds aren't able to really eat it and don't like it so I would try it and see how it goes. I started my son at 5 mos but he wasn't ready so I waited a month and at 6 mos he did great with it. There is no rush .

New reccomendations are exclusive breastfeeding for at least 6 months.

Cereal is a horrible food to start with anyway... at 6 months you can try mushed banana or avocado... fresh.

Or, you can wait until the baby is picking up food on their own and start with table food. It worked out really well for us!

my sister in law starting putting cereal in her baby's bottle when the baby was 2 weeks old, she said it helped her sleep good. As a first time parent, I followed the pediatritions guideline, which worked well-but I tried rice cereal for about a week, then went on to banana oatmeal cereal, my kids all enjoyed it better.

When they are no longer satisfied more than three or four hours on just a bottle and can tolerate being spoon fed. NEVER feed an infant any food through a nipple just because it is more convenient. Also feeding right before bed time can help a baby sleep longer at night, thus allowing you more rest.

4 months, but small amounts at a time to make sure it is tolerated well. Maybe a teaspoon or two for a week and then you can increase.
Some doctors start fruits and veggies after that so check with them first.
Have fun.
