I want to learn the drums and my boyfriend will teach me but I'm not patient at all. and I really enjoy spending time with him. I'm afraid that the drum lessons with turn into make-out sessions. which I wouldn't mind but i really want to learn to play the drums

my boyfriend is really good he can play blindfolded and it still sounds as if he could see what he was hitting. he said he was willing to teach me and he knows that i'm not patient. i learn things pertty fast. i don't think he'll get mad at me if i don't get it right away, but i may get mad if i can't.

well, you could learn how to play the drums from him, but just remember, drumming is really, really hard. It's not as easy as it looks. Try a few lessons with him and if it turns into makeout sessions, surprise him by taking lessons. ;)

Yes, i believe it is because my friend has tried teaching me drums before & i was mostly embarassed if i could not get it right. If you are comfortable with this person than yes it should be fine. On the other hand I would not learn to play from a boyfriend because you never know what could happen during that session. Also because I know I would mostly just fool around with him. Try taking drum lesson seperate from his lessons so that when he trys to teach you it makes it a bit easier for you to have fun & know what your doing. :D

um be careful with having the boyfriend teach you. im not patient either and my boyfriend was trying to teach me how to drive stick and we were both getting mad for silly reasons. he couldnt understand why i wasnt grasping the concept right away. just be patient and make sure he is patient with you. people learn at different rates so you may catch on quickly and you can jump right into your make otu sessions or it may take longer for you to get it right and your guy may get mad and frustrated with you. good luck and have fun!

You will have to learn some patience. I say this to anyone wanting to learn any instrument. You won't be good at first, and you'll have to spend lots of time practicing before you'll be any good. You will need patience.
