yea the bank charges are ridiculous i received a cheque from Canada and it worked out at £10 ($20 dollars) and the bank took £6 so i only received £4

The last time I received a cheque from overseas the bank wanted £5.00 for their fees that was the year before last, God knows what they charge now.

Yes it is possible.....there will be a charge and it may take longer to clear than a cheque drawn in sterling

yes it is possible, and in point of fact, is done everyday.
you need to make sure that you check currency exchange rates if you are doing a great deal of business with overseas clientele to insure that you are not shortchanged on the purchase, the freight and handling charges for whatever is done.
generally, there is a minimal charge to your account for exchanging the currency from U.S. to Euro.

as far as i know - all banks will accept any check for a deposit into your account - but the clearing time varies
