No no. This will never do. There needs to be a clear theme to the room. Wood grain goes with wood grain, usually traditional. Matte black goes with modern design.
I'd have to see the room...but hearing this, I'd probably divorce her.

Sure man. But I don't care what people say, you should get even. Not for revenge but so that you don't carry that resentment through the relationship. Wear a miss matched outfit around the house or something, and if she don't like it, screw her. In fact, screw her on the night stand if you think it's strong enough.

You forgive her if she'll forgive you for a "in-poor-taste one-night-stand".
Repeat this cycle over and over again. Then open a business that specializes in male or female one night stands....seems successful already.
