I have some old wooden draws which I want to recycle in my garden to propagate my vegetable seeds. I need a see-through plastic roof for the draws. Can anyone recomend what material I should use and where I can source it from?

Do you mean drawers? I think you can buy plexiglass or vinyl at the glass store or a picture frame shop and have them cut it to the size you need.

I would recommend you use Solexx greenhouse panels http://www.greenhousecatalog.com/covering-c-31.html. You can cut them down to whatever size you need with a sharp knife without having to worry about them cracking or breaking like plexiglass. Just make sure that you allow for ventilation so that your plants don't get overheated.

i use plastic covering off carpet rolls, even those off new electrical items! they are opaque so do not heat up so intense, sometimes they have holes in (for child safety),and its recycling, they work very well, especially when i put it on a wooden frame with hinges, which can be lifted if it gets too hot, good luck!
