i worked for a week at this huge corp back in jan of 2005, but I had a nrevous breakdown and never came back.

would they rehire me ya think? also, I am interviewing with them again today for a more responsible position, so it would not be in the same department.

do they keep employee records for a while in some computer. they do their own payroll and they have over 1,000 employees.

7 years is the standard.

But, since you were only there for a week---maybe you never really made it into the "official" record.

Go for it. It cant hurt and that was a while ago and you had an issue and you're all better...AND they cant hold it against you, either !

By law, personnel records must be kept for 10 years. In a company that large, chances are they will check their database to see if you are a rehire (or the info will pop up if they enter you as an applicant.)

If you abandoned your position (that's what it's called if you disappear and they don't know what happened) you are not eligible for rehire in most companies. Sorry. :(

I'm sure that they would have employee records for at least a couple years, but you may want to check with the Human Resources Department to double check and make sure they have your employee records and that they are complete and accurate.

Yes, they probably have your records. I would do the interview and if they ask if you have worked for them previously, then be honest. I would not volunteer your brief previous employment unless asked.

If you explain the situation fully and what you have done to overcome it, it may not be a deal breaker and could work to your advantage.

Good luck.

i might recommend protecting all the documents in person worker scientific charts. i do no longer think of they might prefer to be saved seperate. the only seperation may be between the 'worker document' and the 'worker scientific document'.
