Because he is sweet and cute and the pre-teen and teen set love him. I like the kid but do not really care for his singing :-)

In yahoo entertainment news earlier this week, they said something about him being around because a good portion of Hawaii is voting and he spent some time there when he was a kid? ... they also said that since Antonella got voted off he may be gettin a lot of the Eastern vote,, dont kno why... I think the people that vote for him dont really like him, they just vote for him for laughs, cuz he has nothing on the other competitors. The news said he's not here because of the teen vote because they supposedly only account for 14% of the votes. Unfortunately, he'll be around again, but if he stays in the bottom 3, at least i'll kno America hasn't gone completely crazy.... but who knows after they voted Taylor Amer. Idol last year and all he's done is car commercials.

Both Gina and Phil were actually worse than Sanjaya. So Phil goes and Sanjaya stays

I think Sanjaya is horrible, he should have left long time ago. They say he is there still because he is cute, but I do not see it, besides he is a kid. He has no vocal talent.

He may possibly stay for a couple of rounds more, but I highly doubt that he will be the next American Idol. He's not that vocally endowed compared to some of the other contestants.

please get him off the show-i will not watch it again until he is off. he sucks-and shouldnt be on the show in the first place.
