Sometimes you know you are going to be in a situation that is going to make you angry so plan ahead for that situation.
If you have an argument with someone and feel the anger building say to the person, " I'm out of here.' then go for a walk, you can nominate how long that walk will be either 10,20,30 minutes. Go for that time then come back if you're still angry then go again and again nominate a time.
It is also a good idea to avoid people and situations that you know are going to make you angry.
Remember that anger is an emotional state and is quite valid the problem is how we deal with it.
I have a friend and when she got angry she would bite her thumb, she now has a permanent scar on her thumb. (I don't really reccommend it but it was sort of funny watching her nite her thumb.)

Boy, I'd like to know, too. It is one of those human weaknesses that some of us have. We just have to keep working on it. When we feel angry and are about to take someone's head off, just walk away and do something energetic to get rid of the built up stress. Write your feelings out in a journal. When you cool off, you have a right to respectfully discuss with someone what they did to make you upset. It's not good to hold things in either, but you can't go ranting and raving at your teachers, boss, other people in public places. Usually, mine stems from frustration. Pray for the Lord to remove this weakness. Best wishes. I'm passionate about a lot of things, and I think that makes me have a short fuse.

Remove yourself from the situation that is making you mad. If you don't it will only cause you to get worse. Try to get alone some where and debrief...think about what just happened and take a minute to collect yourself. It always works for me and I have a very short temper.

Drink plenty of liquid. Preferably cranberry juice.
Then urinate for at least 10 minutes non stop.

This creates a feeling of cleansing and euphoria.

Happy Days!

find a friend who is understanding, and will let you vent at them. It always helps to talk (or rant) about what is bothering you!
