I would live in Exmouth in Devon, it's a lovely town,
with all local amenities plus a lovely sandy beach,
nice people and loads to do, plus fresh sea air,
doesn't get any better.

Probably Liverpool mate.

By the way Exmouth is way better than Torquay. As ya said it does have a lovely beach. Nice chippy there as well near Poder Monkey & The Strand - can't remember the name of it now. I live 40 mins from Exmouth so no point moving there for me.

I'd get a place in Glen Coe, Scotland. Its far rom everything and if I were quitting my job it'd be to get away from the world and that is the place to do it. My family lives in Douglas, but most live in and around Preston, Lancashier. I've spend a lot of time there, wasn't far from Blackpool and wasn't a terrible drive from family in Warwick.

Lake Coniston, Cumbria or Helford river, Cornwall
Both beautiful or somewhere completely isolated like a scottish island although I probably wouldn't last on the Island as it gets very windy and I hate wind, so the first two are my choices.

York, its where I live now and have been to many different places all over the country and find York a really nice place to live and work. Good nightlife, good schools, relatively low crime rates, good shops, friendly people and just a great general atmosphere.
