Does anybody remember the name of this cartoon?

The characters (good and bad) had helmets that gave them special powers. On the the good side there was a girl who wore a yellow suit and her helmet allowed her to lift and move heavy things without touching them, the leader of the bad guys had a helmet that had a red eagle or hawk symbol on the forehead and he shot a beam out of it that could melt things. I watched it in the late 80's/ early 90's, though I'm not sure that's when it originally aired.

NO! It's not power rangers! What I described is nothing like power rangers, and Power ranger's isn't a cartoon!

The animation, characters and whatnot were very similar to GI Joe. No magic, no monsters, somewhat serious.

Jasper. The first name by way of Hanna and Barbera used to be known as Puss will get the boot in which Tom is known as Jasper.
