you could look at how minority groups are depicted and represented within tv, film, newspapers such as gays and lesbians, blacks, asians, muslims, the elderly, disabled people. you might also want to look at what effects mainstream white media, such as tv, film, radio etc in america has on blacks, asians, gays and lesbian viewers, listeners, consumers. news is one example of a tv genre where you can find often stereotypical representations of ethnic minorities. likewise, the crisis in iraq and arabs and muslims percieved as terrorists, enemies of the west. you may want to consider how television shows and films depict gay and lesbian characters and discuss their impact on the gay and lesbian community as a whole. on the same topic of homosexuals in the media, you may want to analyse and discuss about actors who are straight and openly gay playing hetrosexual/homosexual roles in tv, film.
these are just a couple of ideas i have suggested here but of course, there are so many avenues that you take with this and approach and explore in more detail. hope this helps

Well you could use "Lady Di's" situation for an example.. How they were, like "vulture's" during her lifetime, than because of her death, they had to curb it down a tad!! Because they were getting a bad name for theirselves!! That's one example.. I hope I was of some help to you hun!! I'm going through some "frustrating changes" with school myself, right now... Dont throw in the towel, yet, look at the good things, and if all else fail's get a "tutor", to help you!! Good Luck hun!! Smile, this too will soon pass!!!
