YEAH!! Congrats! I'm due on April 4th!! My friend sent me these b/c i was wondering the SAME THING!

Natural Labor Inductions
1. Enemas- this causes the bowels to contract and could cause the uterus to contract, which will open and efface the cervix.
2. Exercise- Walking, swinging in a swing and general exercise contracts the uterus.
3. Fasting and Dehydration- If pre-term labor occurs, a big percentage of the time, dehydration is the cause. This is a dangerous mode of induction and should be used with the utmost in caution.
4. Herbs- Black and Blue cohosh, borage oil, castor oil, evening primrose oil, goldenseal, mugwort, and yarrow are uterine stimulants. Evening primrose oil placed directly on the cervix will aid in dilation and effacement.
5. Intercourse- Having sex helps to induce labor because semen contains prostaglandins which helps to dilate and efface the cervix. Orgasm also causes the uterus to contract.
6. Nipple Stimulation- This causes the uterus to contract much the same way an IV Pitocin drip would. Stimulating the nipples causes the release of oxytocin which contracts the uterus. This can be done by someone sucking on the nipple much the way a baby would while nursing or by placing the nipple between the thumb and forefinger and “rolling” it for 10 to 20 minutes at a time every couple of hours.
Neither medical nor natural labor inductions guarantees that it will work 100% of the time. Usually if a woman is ready to go into labor it will only help to bring it forth. A word of caution: do not try any of these means without first seeking the advice and help of your doctor or midwife. They can tell you all the side-effects and the dosage and duration (where needed) of each method while also telling you if you are a good candidate for natural labor induction.

Hope these help!!

I totally understand what your are going thru. I felt the same just few weeks ago (baby is 21 days old now). I couldn't sleep, the tummy was so big, I walked like a slow duckie, lower back and legs hurted... and oh when the baby kicked, I wanted to jump....

Anyway, try the following:
1. walk (take break once is a while to ease your lower back muscle).
2. do some simple exercise (but keep heart beat below 140) like squating with gymnastic ball, leaning forwards on a sturdy chair or against the wall.
3. I heard spicy food works (not sure)

Keep in mind, baby has its own time, he/she will decide when to come out to meet you. So, try to be relax and enjoy the pregnancy. Good luck

I know how you feel...I'm 37 weeks and I'm SUPER miserable...I had a doctor's appt yesterday and he tried to strip my membranes...all that really does is pretty well much pull the mucus plug...he said 7 times out of 10 when it's done, within 48 hours you'll go into labor. My aunt works at a restaurant and a girl there said she had her membranes stripped and she had her baby that night! He couldn't do mine though, cuz my cervix wasn't soft enough....but he said it could be done anytime after 37 weeks....Hope that helps a little!

There's honestly not much you can do to force yourself into labor. Unless your baby and body is ready, nothing will happen.

You have two more weeks, please let your baby stay for as long as he/she can.

I have two children and I understand how uncomfortable you are but the longer your baby cooks closer to full term, the better.

Good luck!!

You need to go to your local Italian restaurant and order the Eggplant Parmesan. See article and recipe below, http://www.wchstv.com/gmarecipes/eggplantparmigian.shtml

My mom said her friend told her to eat a baloney and mustard sandwich, and she thought, that's retarded, but it sounded good so she ate it and Voila! my little brother. This probably won't help you, but maybe it will give you an idea for lunch. :)

i really do not wanna dissappoint you but none of the recommended things worked for me. but you can try sex (he needs to ejaculate in you the sperm bring on the contractions and an orgasm would help too), spicy foods, walking. there are so many but seriously none of them worked real well for me.
