hi, i have this nearly perfect jeans which i like very much. the only blemish it has is that its zip keeps slipping down on its own, and it gets very annoying having to zip it up every hour. does any one know of a method to prevent a zip slipping down on its own? that is without changing the zip completely, as i would not like to damage this jeans.

help is greatly appreciated!

This doesn't really sound like a science and math question, but acutally it is. You want to increase the friction on the slide part so that the force of friction within the mechanism is greater than the force of gravity causing it to inch down as you move about.
Look at the back of the zip, you'll see that the metal slide part surrounding the teeth part can probably be tightened a bit with a pair of pliers. Just a bit, not too much, or you won't be able to move it at all.

I know this sounds like a stupid answer and you have probably already tried it but....have you tried pushing the zipper part down? it some times helps!

And also you can take a safety pin and hook it threw the hole at the end of the zipper and pin it to the waist band?

Hope this helps!!
