Not if the person has a track record of being a lying, steaming, stinking sack of liquid crap.
If the person has been truthful in the past then I would not have a problem with them not taking the oath but then again if they have nothing to hide, they should not have a problem taking an oath.
We cannot however, give that kind of deference to this Administration and its stooges.
From the rotting head on down, they have demonstrated that they would not be able to tell the truth even if it was to save their life.

No. An Oath is by no means a sacred thing it once was but it is an act of condition, a sign of good faith. If being told blatantly "No" then the next word out of their mouth is automatically suspect.
