i have an ipod 30gb and i want to connect it to the car when i pass my test. the car has no cigarette lighter so i cant connect it to that. i know that theres an igriffin which will work but i want something that will charge it up at the same time while playing music and not just playing music.
maybe something can slot into the cd player? i dout there is but just wondering?

Sorry, it's not possible, not without the charging socket. Your only other alternative is to hardwire a line somehow, but I'm not about to offer advice on that.
I would say use an FM transmitter that runs on AAs and use rechargeables. This way it won't drain your iPod by using it's battery.
