The Last Samurai. A period film about the time in Japanese history when the emporer was trying to make the country western and so westerners were brought in to teach them western ways. The Samurai were unfortunately purged as a result. Very good film.
Grudge. Modern. Plays into Japanese folklore/belief system that a house/ dwelling is an entity, a spirit of its own. These Americans are working in Japan and are caught up in a house's vendetta!

I don't know if they are exactly "good" but "The Bad News Bears Go To Japan" and "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" come to mind.
