Okay, here's the deal. I have a file that won't print on my computer. It's a PDF File. I've pulled up the printer from the control panel and I've tried to delete the file, cancel the file, and pause the file. It won't print and it won't go away. It's been like this since yesterday. Well, I have a business to run and I can't print anything until this file deletes. HELP! How in the world do I get his off of here? It won't go away!!! I hope I gave you enough details ....

I've had the same problem. What I recommend you do is to shut down the computer and the printer off for 30 minutes each. Restart your computer and your printer and see if anything is in the control panel for the printer. If the file is there try canceling it or deleting it. If it still is there you may either want to uninstall the printer software and reinstall it. Don't uninstall unless you have the printers software. If you don't have the CD i suggest you call the manufacturer who makes your computer.

Here's how to delete the print request.

Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel

Double click on Printers and Faxes; double click on your printer icon.

This will bring up another little window.

Click on Printer and then click on Cancel All Jobs

It may take a few minutes to clear but it should go away.

Regarding the PDF file. Are you trying to print it from Windows explorer, or are you clicking on File, Print in the Adobe Acrobat Reader program?

You need to be in the Acrobat program to print it.

Hope this helps.
