Affording him won't be too much of a problem

After Garnett opts out of his contract everyone knows he has to take a paycut and that's what he has to do if he wants to win a championship.

Garnett wants a ring and to go where he's still a main reason for that ring the only place for him to go to accomplish that is to join up with Kobe on the lakers. Both players need eachother and help with eachothers weaknesses.

Garnett is a unselfish player who scores, rebounds, and passes well with great defense. The biggest thing about him is he doesn't demand the ball on offense and take a lot of shots which allows him to pair up with Kobe perfectly as Kobe takes over late in games and has that competitive edge Garnett has never shared with anyone on any of his teams before.

They make a great combo and would take over the west both in their prime which would eliminate any piggybacking for a title claims on Garnett and allow him to add to his legacy and bring in that title he needs to be remembered properly.

The obvious answer is the Lakers so he has someone he could share with on his way to a title while the other teams he would still have to be the man and those teams don't have enough talent to get it done so it's just a waste of his time.

Hopefully he'll be with the team that gives him the best shot at getting his ring. Truthfully any team that has a good outside shooting presence or guard that can score is where he needs to go. Of those four teams if he went to the lakers he would have the most success....

minnesota
I dont think he wants to leave, he's too loyal and stubborn. He has to realize that he's not that good and that he can't lead a team to a championship. I think they should definitly trade him, the twolves arent going anywhere with him unless they get really lucky and get a top 2 pick. I think if he they do trade him it would be to the lakers, so he'll have a shot at a title.

Knicks - Possibly if the give up a guard and other
Bulls - Doubtful. They had their opportunity and blew it.
Lakers - No. Kobe would have a fit with the thought of having to share his spotlight.
Sacramento - No.

Nobody can afford him under the salary cap.

Charlotte Bobcats or Atlanta Hawks, they still have some cap space left, but they will have to trade all of their stars and 1st round draft picks. Which they are willing to do like desperate teams do.
