A contract for services is a standard contract that says I will pay you X to do Y. Painting a house, singing a song, fixing a car, whatever. Standard contract for services.

A contract OF service is an indentured servitiude agreement, where one person agrees to serve the other (or is sold into service by someone else) for a specific period of time. It's conceptually equivalent to semi-voluntary temporary slavery.
