I am a single grandmother raising my grandchildren. I am in need of a house. I am trying to go back to school to finish my education. I have no money to buy a house, because it is spent on my daily bills and grandchildren. I want them to have some type of normal upbringing , including a house and a yard to play in. Thank you

No one is giving away piles of money to buy a house with.

There are first-time buyer and downpayment assistance programs which can help you buy a house which you can find by going to the HUD website and doing a simple search.

Perhaps with some downpayment assistance you will be able to find a house that you can afford.

There is no "free money" out there. You might find low cost loans via an urban development agency, contact your city councilperson, or state congressperson to get started.

If you don't have the money to buy a house; you probably don't have the money to pay the property taxes or the cost of utilities or the maintenance and upkeep of said property; so maybe now isn't the right time to even buy a house.

I would look into your local County/ City/ State government agencies. I know it is possible. I've heard of people being approved, but the people who do get these benefits do not often share the steps.

You would need to find someone who is experienced in obtaining grant money. They are very rare and may not be able to help you. It may be best to have the best credit you can have considering your circumstances. If you need help with your credit I have found this site helpful, www.genesiscreditgroup.com
Hope you find what you need
