I too have the same problem. I had an ultrasound on Monday and we didn't see anything. The only real way to know the sex of your baby is with an Amniocentesis. but those are only performed when medically necessary. Good luck maybe you will have another ultrasound soon and the baby will cooperate.

You can usually find a fetal imaging place in any larger city that you can have another ultrasound done. A lot of them will charge a smaller amount (less than $100) to just find out the sex of the baby, and if the baby doesn't "cooperate", you can come back again for free.

These are the same places that do the 3D/4D ultrasounds. If you have a local parent resource guide, they should be listed there. Good luck!

Sometimes u cant do anything to make baby open them legs,,,Some women never find out the sex of there baby until birth arrives..U can always ask for another ultrasound within a few more weeks as u get a little further along *it will come out of pocket though* or u can have a 3d-4d ultrasound done which can accurately determine babys sex most of the time...either way baby is not ready to reveal his/her parts and sometimes u just cant force them..good luck!

There are 2 other ways to find out the sex of the baby - other than wait for another ultrasound -

1) is amniocentesis - BUT this should be done to find genetic abnormalities not to find the sex of your baby.
and
2) is Early Gender Testing - see the first link below for genetree. Expensive but of you really MUST know...

also below is a link with some of the options and some of the myths...

Good Luck to you

No where. Set up another appointment and hopefully your baby will be positioned in a way to let you both see. Sometimes baby is positioned as such when you go in for an ultrasound that you will never see until she'he is born.

Good Luck!

The only definate way...is to wait and do another ultrasound. Either the baby is not mature enough to tell tell the sex, or it was in an awkward position and they just couldn't tell.

Well it depends, how many weeks are you? and what kind of ultra sound was it a 2d, or 3d? If you are over 17 weeks then you should try making an appointment for a 3d,4d ultra sound. Those are more clearer than 2d. Google 4d ultrasound in whatever state your in and they should give you websites to were you can call and make an appointment. They cost money though! =(
Goodluck, hope I helped!

Is it possible that you will have another ultrasound? If so, I'd just wait until then. You could go to a psychic, but that isn't really scientific. Sometimes the surprise is best, though!

From previous experience (my nieces & newphews...a total of 13+) my family has been able to tell by the shape of the womb. For boys the belly usually protrudes outwards. For girls, the belly grows wider.

Try this and then once you find out from your doctors what your having, that will prove how accurate this method may be! :oD

Thats it. Only an ultrasound can be for sure. I do know that there places that do these 4D scans look in your area, they cost about $100-$200. I get my 4D on Friday, but at my docs. office.
