In a sea battle, a cannon ball of mass 30kg was fired at 200m/s from a cannon of mass 3000kg. what was the recoil velocity of the gun?

By law of conservation of momentum,
30*200=3000*x
solving for x we get,
recoil vel. of gun is 2 m/s

man its easy:
M1=M2
m1V1=m2V2
30*200=3000*V2
V2=6 m/s
