I think you may be reversing the reality here - it takes as much time as you need to accept a person and you may never accept them - on the other hand a lifetime is not enough time to truly know a person - make sense? Just think of the many "serial killers" in this world who had family and friends who say "I knew them so well, I am simply shocked!" You see, nobody knows anyone except themselves.

It doesn't take a lifetime to know a person. People cyclically change every 7-years (it's a bio-rhythm thing). You can get to know some one after a few years, but then the question is will you still know/respect/love them when they go through change (and when you go through change). This is where the 7-year itch cliche comes from.

Anyway, once you've both gone through a 7-year stint, you can be pretty confident you aren't the same people you were when you met and you'll also know if you changed together or apart. If you changed together, you have what it takes to stay together indefinitely.

If you click with that person, you spend your lifetime getting to know them. The acceptance part is already done!

If you did not accept the person, you would not take the lifetime to get to know that person.

Why is it so hard to accept another person in the first place? We are all human beings. We should accept all other human beings until they attempt to hurt us.

Take care,
Troy

It should not have to take you a lifetime to know that you love someone. It just take you a lifetime to find out why you love them so much.

Wow, that is a really good question. You just have to accept them whether you like it or not. No one will ever be perfect. You will always find flaws, you will just have to work through them.

This is true, but do we really know them? If it's real in your heart, that unconditional love will accept them right away.
