Yes Fred Thompson from Law & Order fills in for Paul Harvey, hes annoucning his run for the presidence in the fall for the republicians.

Yes, he is. He was also a senator, he returned to acting and started filling in for Paul Harvey. He is currently considering a run for the Presidency as a Republican candidate, but no formal announcement has been made.
